Title says all. I don't have much else to say other than Mega Man 9 has beat every other Wii Ware game in terms of sheer number of purchases, and it has only been out for a week!

Update: As with the Nintendo's WiiWare, PSN is charging $10 for the game.

If you check on RnR3 official website frequently, you will notice about newly update of their wallpaper section. Its not Red Joker (sadly), but more wallpaper for Acid Ace, with same posture but different background. That's all, but worth to collect for some of you.

Now unto the desktop calenders. E-Capcom planning of Desktop Calenders in the future, each themed after Red Joker and Black Ace. And also another sweet news, according to Dengeki, the desktop calender will included a white card that going to be used in MMSF3/RnR3.

The game will be released for download on the September 22 for the Wii. Playstation Network gets it September 25th, and XBLA will have it October 1!


Direct quote from Capcom-unity, simple but yet informative. Oh and, the release date is for North America only.
Oh wait, where is the X360 release date? Though, X360 users are must wait for the release date.

Wow, fairly long title, but fairly short news post.

Megaman 9 may have a retail package on dvd to be released only on the Capcom Unity store in very limited quantities (200). Read here for details.

DRN.067: Splash Woman
A robot who performs rescue work in situations such as sinking ships and people in oceans. Her special weapon is the Laser Trident. It fires a laser that has penetration ability.

DRN.068: Plug Man
A line inspection robot at a television set factory. He carries out the final check on the products with a sharp eye. His special weapon is the Plug Ball. It fires a plasma ball that runs along the ground.

A robot that works in a diamond mine. He is in charge of polishing work with his skilled fingers. His special weapon is the Jewel Satellite. It protects the body with rotating diamonds.

Side note, while we're speculating if Mega Man 9 will release on the 22nd, iNSIDE has confirmed that Rockman 9 will release in Japan on September 24th. Does this back up the US release speculation at all? Time will tell.

So here, I come again. You guys already missed some part of big RnR 3 news lately, so here I will post them to "payback" those missed part of news.

The last update about wallpaper section has been told by Sol, even its already bit of late, but we got update for wallpaper. Just to remind again, that Red Joker Wallpaper already been uploaded by Capcom in Wave Station's wallpaper gallery. And let see, if we can get another two new wallpaper of Red Joker. (Black Ace got 2, why not?)

Remember about Rockman Summer Festival news, that we must wait CoroCoro for more information about the new version (Red Joker version)? Well, CoroCoro do really put those issue and here they are.

First its from COCOROG, now we got the very first of artwork of Red Joker finalize form, it also mention that Red Joker describe as full armored Rockman.

On the picture, you also can see some screenshot of Finalize Noise Big Bang for Red Joker, which is called Red Gaia Eraser. Well, Rockman will charge/gathers some energy to his Noise Generator (located on his shoulder), after that the generator detaching themselves, hover across the field. And they firing a massive red laser that causes a large explosion on the field.

Just like Black Ace, Red Joker will be available until he got Joker program from Satellite Police. And also other than got massive damage Noise Big Bang called Red Gaia Eraser, the charge shot will also change into a flame thrower.

And also in the official site of RnR 3, Capcom also explain something about the system. Noise Level rises when a Virus is attacked with an 'overkill' none elemental Card. If your Noise Ratio is at 0%-49% when transformed, Rockman will 'Form Out', the process of changing shape. Changing shape allows added damage to attacks and other abilities. When Noise is over 50%, Rockman will move to 'Color Out' mode, allowing his transformation to reach its full potential. The example used is Ox Noise: Ox Noise gains a Heat Canon charged shot and the ability to perform its NFB, Atomic Blazer. But don't forget, noise change also have elemental weakness. If you got damage from your elemental weakness, then your noise ratio will turn to 0% and you will be turn back into normal Rockman (Note: Cygnus Noise elemental weakness are sword). When reach 200% of noise ratio, you will turn yourself into Finalize form, mean you're allowed to access satellite server and give you some exclusive cards (random).

Capcom has also opened up RnR 3 official site for mobile. In here you will get information of RnR 3 and some downloadable wallpapers for your mobile.

The Satellite Serves has updated as well. Entering in the code, 395656, allows you to view a secret document concerning 'Project TC', the ability to Trans On. Also, you can view some schematics of Acid Ace.

Next on Neowing, I'll quote from TUS.
Next up, Neowing has created a merchandise entry for the new modification cards for this game. Renamed as Noise Modification Gear, the cards work similarly to the Wave Command Cards/Touch Command System from Shooting Star Rockman 2. Cards are entered into the game by placing the card onto the touch screen and then punched into the game. There are now different classes of cards.

Noise Cards: Split into five categories - Spade/Heart/Club/Diamond/Shooting Star Joker. They provide power ups to the Noise Changes.

Reson Cards: Possibly short for "Resonate". These provide power ups for the Finalized Noise Changes. Apparently, the power ups can be shared with teammates (Brother Band members?) and the cards can also be used to switch the ultimate form of the game.

White Cards: These are special cards that can be downloaded into the game and entered into the folder. We already know of two cards from the Rockman Summer Festival. High Speed Black Ace is a White Card that will randomly roulette between four attacks - Meteorite Barrage, Gravity Plus, Attack +10, or Beast Swing 1. Powered Red Joker will roulette between the following - Atomic Blazer, Heat Upper, Attack +10, or Beast Swing 1. Overall, White Cards work similarly to most Wave Command Cards we came to know of in the previous game as well as the Tribe Attack Cards that came with early shipments of Shooting Star Rockman 2.

A booster pack of cards will contain five different cards and sell for 210 yen each.

A clever observation is made in the report. The helmet designs for Rockman Black Ace and Rockman Red Joker have some resemblance to the horns of the Kabutomushi (Japanese rhinoceros beetle) and Kuwagata (Japanese stag beetle) respectively. It's amusing, as these two transformations are being contrasted against one another whereas the Kabutomushi and Kuwagata are always considered as rivals among beetles and many references to them have been made across television, anime, and games.

t is mentioned that Shooting Star Rockman 3 will be featured at the upcoming World Hobby Fair, so hopefully we'll have lots of new information then. Attending the convention will reward players with Shooting Star Candy Sticks, which may include a promotional message on them. Perhaps it's Angou Mail? Or maybe the Lotto Number System from the EXE series will return as suggested by the report. These same candy items can be purchased in game at the school cafeteria for 10 Zenny each, though their effect in game is unknown.

There's also mention of a group called Production I.G., who will be responsible for the anime commercial movies that we should be seeing very soon.


The file Code No. 001is Acid Ace. Stands 186 centimeters tall with a mass of 73 kg. Main weapon are Acid Blaster (can transform into a sword, from previous news, and also combine with battle cards). Armed up with Anti Ballistic Shields on each shoulder. The head contains the Acid Wave Analyzer (basically processes what Acid Ace sees and runs it through Acid's installed database).That will enhanced bt Acid's high-speed processing ability. The Wing Verniers on his back help him channel his energies as well as mantain control of his high speed in battle (my opinion, like neutralizer :P). He also bears the Satella Police Emblem on his chest.

Well, for those who missed the news about that we can ask Keiji Inafune about anything that related to Megaman, and they will pick 10 best questions and those questions will be answered by Keiji Inafune. For those who missed it, too bad because its already ended. Here are the 10 best questions that answered by Keiji Inafune, I put some of them on the spotlight though...

1) Did Zero really "kill" the family between the events of the Classic Mega Man and X series?

KI: No, Zero did not kill them. According to the way I created him, Zero is not such a person--it is not in his profile.

2) Any plan to create more games for the Mega Man X series? What about Rockman Dash/Mega Man Legends?

KI: I would love to do more games in the Mega Man Legends and X series, but the business of these games must be considered. Passion and creativity are great, but the reality is that they must be balanced with profitability.

In the case of Mega Man 9, the chance to create it as a downloadable title made this great idea a financial possibility and we did it. We must always search for ways to minimize our risks while also creating great games.

3) What's your favorite hobby when you aren't making games?

KI: I work a lot but in my spare time I enjoy photography, going to the movies, and basically anything unrelated to work. Beyond being enjoyable for their own sake, these hobbies also give me new ideas for games. For instance, the photography mechanic in Dead Rising came from my personal fondness for taking interesting pictures.

4) What was the inspiration for Sigma?

KI: Some people think he might have been inspired by Sagat from Street Fighter because of his look, but that's not actually the case. Sigma and Zero basically represent the idea that nothing is absolute. Sigma was a powerful leader of the Maverick Hunters but after Zero passed the virus to him, his allegiance changed. Circumstances can change anything, and nothing is absolute.

5) Have you ever considered a Rockman fighting game? What about other genres of Mega Man games like shooters or MMOs, or RTS?

KI: I have always considered Mega Man as I conceived it to be basically an action game, so I have not personally thought a lot about other genres of Mega Man games.

6) What happened to Dr. Wily in Rockman X series? Are Dr. Wily and Dr. Weil the same person? Were they ever supposed to be?

KI: A large amount of time has passed between the classic series and Mega Man X. Dr. Wily had died in the interim but was brought back by the virus. Dr. Wily and Weil are not the same person. It is ironic though, because Dr. Wily created Zero, and Dr. Weil used Zero, but ultimately it was a copy of Zero's original body with a different mind that defeated him.

7) Do you think we'll ever see Mega Man in a Smash Brothers game?

KI: That is probably a question better suited for Nintendo than for Capcom. If they were to ask, I see no reason to say no. We'll see what happens.

8) Would you consider making a two-player coop Mega Man game for consoles?

KI: I think this is quite difficult--even close to impossible with the current style of Mega Man. With a different style of game, I think this could be possible.

9) If there are more MM games, is there any chance you will revive the Robot Master community contest where people submit their own Robot Master designs?

KI: If Mega Man 9 becomes a big success and we were to make Mega Man 10, I think our activities with and connectedness to the fans through the internet mean we could certainly bring back this contest.

10) What does your office look like?

KI: Actually it is almost completely decorated by the creations of fans. It is stuffed with drawings, paintings, toys, and every other kind of creation that people have given me over the years.
